GAINESVILLE - The Class AAA No. 1-ranked Gainesville Lady Red Elephants go for their fifth straight win against rival North Hall Tuesday night.

That game, along with White County traveling to No. 7 Flowery Branch and West Hall playing host to Chestatee, highlight a busy night in high school action.

Every Hall County basketball team, including Lakeview Academy, is in action Tuesday night.

No. 5 Johnson entertains Pickens in another Region 7-AAA battle.

The Lady Elephants (5-2) have been rolling of late with their last two wins coming 30-plus margins. Senior Tasha Humphrey has been playing stellar in every phase. Against Chestatee on Saturday she had just 11 points but was dominating on the inside blocking five shots, pulling down 6 rebounds and dishing out five assists in just over two quarters of work.

East Hall will be playing host to Gilmer County. The Lady Vikings were supposed to play Fannin County but the sudden death of Rebels' boys assistant coach Robert Wood caused the games between the two schools to be rescheduled for January 10th. East Hall was supposed to play Gilmer on Friday but pushed that game up and now will be off Friday before beginning the Lanierland Tournament on Saturday.

Lakeview travels to Towns County in a Region 8-A North game. The Lady Lions are 2-0 in the subregion.
