DAHLONEGA - In a battle of state champions, Jefferson ran away with the John Smith Mountaineer Invitational wrestling tournament Saturday.<br>

The Dragons, who have won three straight Class A titles, outpaced the field with 252 points. Dawson County, the reigning Class AA champ, finished third with 183 points.<br>

Lithia Springs finished second with 190.5 points. North Forsyth finished fourth with 124 points and host Lumpkin County took fifth with 104.<br>
<br>
Chestatee was the highest Hall County finisher in eighth place with 77.5 points. North Hall was 16th with 26 points.<br>
<br>
In other area schools, Jackson County was 12th with 53.5; Habersham Central 13th with 38; and White County 15th with 30 points.
