GAINEVILLE - State Department of Transportation crews are putting down salt on roads in Dawson, Lumpkin, Rabun, Towns, Union and White counties.
Gainesville-based DOT spokeswoman Terri Pope says parts of extreme north Georgia got as much as four inches of snow.
State Route 180 Spur and State Route 348 are both closed this morning.
D-O-T crews are working to remove snow and ice from north Georgia bridges and roads.
A few icy patches were reported on streets and roads in Gainesville and Hall County, but no major coating or major problems.
A few snow flurries are being seen in parts of metro Atlanta, including Norcross in Gwinnett County. But NO traffic problems are being reported because of the flurries.
