The Buford girls basketball team finally cracked the top 15 in the latest gabasketball.net prep high school poll released this week.<br>

The Lady Wolves (4-3) were in the preseason poll but fell out after the first week.<br>

Buford rival Greater Atlanta Christian is the only other team from Region 8-AA to be in the poll. The Lady Spartans are No. 7. Paideia is ranked No. 1 in Class AA.<br>

The Jefferson girls are the only local team in the Class A rankings. The Lady Dragons (4-3) are 11th. <br>
<br>
Athens Academy (third) is the only other northeast Georgia team in the Class A girls rankings.
