GAINESVILLE - Fannin County scored 41 unanswered points en route to a 41-10 win over Chestatee Friday night in Region 7-AAA football action.
The Rebels (4-4, 4-4) have now won two of their last three games.
Chestatee (0-8, 0-8) has now lost 17 straight after winning their inaugural game last year against Flowery Branch.
The War Eagles led 3-0 after the first quarter, but then the defense, which has struggled much of the season, fell apart again.
Fannin scored on three big plays in the second quarter to run out to a 21-3 halftime lead.
The Rebels' Shawn Scearce ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries, including a 69-yard TD run.
The three quarterback attack for Chestatee struggled most of the night. The only score came on a 32-yard pass from Chad Sage to Alex Conti.
Chestatee closes out its season with road games at Flowery Branch and White County over the next two weeks.
