ATLANTA - Morehouse College has disbanded its soccer program as a self-imposed penalty for violations that landed the school on five years of probation.
The NCAA says that its Division Two Committee on Infractions found that athletic officials at Morehouse knew in spring 2000 that professional players were on the soccer team but failed to investigate.

That led to two pros being on the team during the 2000-and-2001 academic year.
Other violations included a lack of institutional control and adequate supervision of a former soccer coach, who's still employed by the school.
The NCAA isn't allowed to identify the people responsible for the infractions.
