Spartans end disappointing season with a win

OAKWOOD - The West Hall Spartans finished their regular season on a positive note whipping Gilmer County 33-7 Friday night in Region 7-AAA action.

West Hall (5-5, 5-5) will not make the playoffs for the first time since 1999.

The Spartans started slow against Gilmer (3-6, 3-6) with the two teams' tied at 7-7 midway through the second quarter. But they scored two late first half touchdowns to blow the game open.
