Land use plan forum Wednesday

GAINESVILLE - Transportation will be the topic at the final in the current series of public forums on the Gainesville/Hall County Comprehensive Plan Update which is scheduled Wednesday in Gainesville.

The session will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Georgia Mountains Center.

It willl examine the transportation impacts of the proposed future land use map.

In addition, the draft vision statement and goals for the Comprehensive Plan, distributed at the September 24 meeting, will be discussed.
The draft vision statement and goals can also be accessed through the Hall County and City of Gainesville Web sites.

The Vision Statement and Goals were provided at the County Area Meetings and will be available at the City Ward Meetings. In addition, the proposed land use map, vision statement and goals are available for viewing at the following library locations: Library Headquarters downtown, Clermont Branch, East Hall Branch, Blackshear Place Branch, and Murrayville Branch.

The PowerPoint presentations with accompanying information from the previous meetings can be accessed through the City of Gainesville and Hall County websites. Any comments regarding the proposed land use maps, vision statement, and goals can be sent through the websitse or by contacting the Hall County Planning Department.

Planners are finalizing a list of forum dates for next year.
