Vikings, Lady Elephants ranked No. 1 in latest poll

The East Hall boys and Gainesville girls basketball teams are ranked No. 1 in Class AAA in the latest gabasketball.net rankings.<br>

The rankings are released each Monday night.<br>
<br>
Both teams are the defending state champions in Class AAA.<br>
<br>
The Gainesville boys are ranked seventh and White County 15th. In area boys teams, Hart County boys is No. 2, Stephens County No. 9 and Elbert County 13th.<br>
<br>
In the girls rankings, Flowery Branch is tied for seventh, Johnson is 10th and East Hall 15th among Hall County teams. In area rankings, Fannin County is sixth and Elbert County 11th.<br>

In Class A, the Jefferson boys are tied for fourth in the rankings with Heard County. S.W. Atlanta Christian, which will be playing Wednesday in the Pepsi Shootout at East Hall, is No. 1.<br>
<br>
In the Class AA rankings, the Buford boys are ranked sixth while the Buford girls are ranked 13th. Mitchell-Baker, which plays East Hall later in the year, is ranked No. 1 in the boys.<br>
<br>
In Class AAAA, the Forsyth Central girls are tied for second in the rankings with Mays. Both teams sit behind No. 1 Marist.
