WVU football player gets probation in bar fight

<p>West Virginia cornerback Adam Pac Man Jones received one years probation Monday on a battery charge stemming from a bar fight.</p><p>Jones, a 20-year-old sophomore from College Park, Ga., must spend 60 days of his probation wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet. Monongalia County Circuit Judge Robert Stone also ordered Jones to serve 100 hours of community service.</p><p>Jones and Leandre Washington, a senior linebacker from Key West, Fla., were accused of hitting two WVU students with a pool stick during a fight at Dr. Johns Lounge in Morgantown in August 2002.</p><p>Each player was charged with malicious assault, a felony.</p><p>Jones pleaded guilty in August to battery, a misdemeanor.</p><p>The malicious assault charge against Washington was dropped after a magistrate ruled there was no probable cause. Prosecutors then charged Washington with battery. His case is pending.</p>
