GAINESVILLE - Hall County firemen said Monday they are still searching for the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a mobile home on Old Cornelia Highway Sunday night.
Fire marshal David Kimbrell says the structure, located in Shope's Mobile Home Park, was a rental home and there was no one living there are the time of the fire.
The blaze was reported about 6:45 Sunday night.
Kimbrell says the fire is "suspicious" in nature because the mobile home was vacant and the power to the structure had been turned off. He did say some other utilities, however, had not been turned off.
