HARTWELL - The Chestatee girls volleyball team swept a pair of Area 4-AAA matches Tuesday at Hart County.
The Lady War Eagles came from behind to beat Monroe Area 3-2 and then whipped Hart County 3-0.
The wins snapped a three-match losing streak for Chestatee (9-15, 6-9). They sparked by the return of team-leader and senior Shea Conner, who had been out nearly two weeks with a back injury.
"That was a big lift for us," Chestatee coach Mike Paul said. "We didn't win a match while she was out so it helped having her back out on the court."
Conner had six aces against Hart County.
In the Monroe Area win, senior reserve Rebecca Atkins came off the bench to ignite the offense down the stretch. She had two late aces in Game 5 to help them pull away.
