In a statement released Tuesday night, Heatley said he is very sorry about the loss of his close friend and, ``deeply moved by the strong show of support'' both he and Snyder's family have received. <br>

Heatley was charged with vehicular homicide after Snyder died last week of injuries from the September 29th crash. Heatley was also injured and might miss the entire season following knee surgery. He said he will return to the ice as soon as possible and will continue to support the Snyder family and the Thrashers in every possible way.
