CUMMING - One person is dead after two pedestrians were struck by a car in Forsyth County Tuesday afternoon.
Forsyth County Coroner Lauren McDonald says a truck driver exited his parked tractor trailer and stepped into the path of the oncoming car.
"Also a passenger from the semi was standing next to the road and was struck also," McDonald says. "We do have one confirmed fatality."
"It looks like neither the car driver of the driver of the semi saw each other." McDonald adds.
The other person was taken to North Fulton Medical Center.
The crash happened around 4:30p.m. on West Maple Street at the Tyson foods plant. The state patrol is investigating, names have not been released.
