DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA - Things are back to normal at the Daytona Beach International Airport after an evacuation Thursday morning.
Passengers were ordered out of the airport for about 90 minutes Thursday morning. A federal security screener found what at first appeared to be an explosive device in a passenger's carry-on bag.
A local bomb squad was called to the airport. It determined the device was not an explosive.
The Daytona airport has only six gates. It has ten to 14 flights each day by Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines, several Delta subsidiaries and Continental Express.
