KENNESAW - A fatal wreck near Kennesaw in Cobb County shut down southbound lanes of Interstate 575. <br>

The crash happened just after 8 a.m. Thursday at the end of the entrance ramp from Barrett Parkway to I-575 southbound. <br>

Cobb County Police Corporal Dana Pierce says a woman in a Honda Civic traveling northbound crossed the median and struck a Ford Explorer head-on. <br>
<br>
The driver of the Civic was killed. The driver of the Explorer was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital. <br>
<br>
Police have not released the names of the victims.
