SAVANNAH - Aleem Muhammad led five Mercer players in double figures with a game-high 14 points as the Bears handed winless Savannah State its ninth loss of the season, 84-66, Thursday night. <br>

Muhammad scored 12 in the first half, and Mercer (5-3) took a 39-28 lead into intermission. A 9-0 run early in the second half put the Bears up 52-32 with 15:53 remaining. <br>

Scott Emerson added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Mercer, while Donny McLendon scored 12 and Delmar Wilson and Wesley Duke added 10 apiece. <br>

Sherard Reddick led the Tigers (0-9) with 12 points.
