GRAPEVINE, TEXAS - Delta Air Lines reportedly will announce reduced flights on unprofitable routes to and from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
An industry consultant told the Dallas Morning News that Atlanta-based Delta, in some cases, may switch to smaller jets.

The anticipated moves are expected to reduce the size of Delta's DFW hub by spring.
A Delta spokesman declined comment on specific plans, but says the carrier will continue to adjust operations to make them profitable.

Delta, like most major U.S. carriers, has lost money over the past two years -- especially since the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Delta serves 67 cities from DFW.
