Georgia State suspect charged in four other assaults

ATLANTA - A Decatur man accused of sexually assaulting two female students in a Georgia State University dormitory has been charged in four similar attacks in two suburban counties, including that of a 12-year-old. <br> <br> Ruben Fortune, 23, was charged earlier this week with two counts of aggravated sodomy and five counts of kidnapping in the Dec. 2 attacks at Georgia State. Police said he forced his way into a dormitory suite with a knife, tied up three women with a phone cord and sexually assaulted the other two, both freshmen. <br> <br> On Thursday, DeKalb County Police obtained 15 warrants for Fortune&#39;s arrest on charges including aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation, armed robbery and burglary. <br> <br> Police said Fortune forced his way into the homes of the three victims, including the 12-year-old, sexually assaulted them at knifepoint and robbed them. <br> <br> State University of West Georgia police in Carrollton also obtained warrants for Fortune in the April assault of a student. <br> <br> Police matched DNA evidence from lip balm left in the Georgia State dormitory to a 1999 assault of an exotic dancer. Fortune was acquitted in that case. <br> <br> He also was arrested May 2 in DeKalb County and charged with aggravated sodomy and aggravated child molestation in a case involving a 13-year-old. He was released from jail on bond May 28 and is still awaiting trial in that case.
