BRUNSWICK - Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center in Brunswick plans a $33 million addition for outpatient surgery, diabetes treatment and other services.
Hospital officials said Friday the five-story structure will be built over the next two years.
Gary Colberg, president and chief executive officer of the Southeast Georgia Health System, said it will be connected to the main hospital by a 36,000-square-foot ``medical mall'' containing rental and retail space, food services, massage therapy and a pharmacy.
Colberg said the new facility will allow those using outpatient services to avoid long walks and waits in the main hospital.
