Brad Johnson returned from a monthlong layoff to throw for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Mike Alstott had two short TD runs, and the Buccaneer defense forced five turnovers. <br>

Tampa Bay dominated all aspects of the game. The Bucs had a 21-14 edge in first downs, outgained the Niners 329 yards to 228, and held the ball for nearly 37 of the game's 60 minutes. <br>

The Bucs will face the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday in Philadelphia. The Eagles beat the Buccaneers in the first round of the playoffs each of the past two years.
