Barlett was 11 of 12. Poonie Richardson scored 22 points and Jay Heard added 14 for Jacksonville State (10-3, 4-1 Atlantic Sun Conference). Heard had eight rebounds and seven assists. <br>

Nate Williams led Georgia State (6-7, 2-1) with 20 points. Reo Logan scored 15, Lamont McIntosh scored 11 and Leroy Davis added 10. <br>

Jacksonville State shot 50 percent for the game to 49 percent for Georgia State. The Gamecocks outrebounded Georgia State 37-26. <br>

The Gamecocks led 39-37 at halftime.
