Roswell man identified as Colorado skiing victim

ASPEN, COLORADO - A skier who died after hitting a tree on Aspen Mountain has been identified as a 62-year-old Georgia man. <br> <br> Bradford McFadden, of Roswell, Ga., died of traumatic injuries, Pitkin County Deputy Coroner Eric Hansen said Monday. <br> <br> McFadden was skiing on an expert run when the accident occurred Saturday, said Jeff Hanle, ski resort spokesman. <br> <br> Friends skiing with McFadden told mountain patrollers and emergency responders that he was an experienced skier. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. However, the victim experienced severe trauma to his torso, said Pitkin County Sheriff&#39;s Deputy George Kremer. <br> <br> The accident was the first ski- or snowboard-related death in Aspen this season, and the fifth on Colorado slopes this season. Last season a record 14 accidental deaths were recorded.
