ORCHARD PARK, NEW YORK - Former Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Don Blackmon is joining the Buffalo Bills as their linebackers coach. <br>

Blackmon was a coach in the NFL since retiring as a player from the New England Patriots in 1987. He most recently coached for the Atlanta Falcons' in 2001. <br>

The team has also hired Pat Ruel as offensive line coach and Les Steckel as running backs coach. <br>
<br>
Ruel served as the Green Bay Packers' offensive line coach the last two seasons. Steckel -- former head coach of the Minnesota Vikings -- last served as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offensive coordinator in 2000. <br>

The Bills did not renew the contracts of linebackers coach Miles Aldridge and offensive line coach Ronnie Vinklarek after the season. Running backs coach Steve Fairchild left Buffalo this week for the Saint Louis Rams.
