Georgia St. needs OT to beat Belmont

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - Nate Williams had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead Georgia State to a 69-66 double-overtime victory over Belmont Monday night. <br> <br> The loss was the first for Belmont (9-8, 4-1) in the Atlantic Sun Conference. <br> <br> Adam Sonn hit 1-of-2 free throws with just over a minute to play in the second overtime to give the Bruins a 66-65 lead, but Georgia State (8-8, 3-2) responded by hitting four straight free throws in the final seconds for the win. <br> <br> Belmont could not get a shot off during its final possession. <br> <br> The teams were tied at 61 after scoring five points each in the first overtime period. <br> <br> A layup by Brian Collins of Belmont tied the score at 56 with 22 seconds left in regulation, sending the game to overtime. <br> <br> Lamont McIntosh had 13 points for the Panthers. Leroy Davis added 12 and Reo Logan 11. <br> <br> Sonn led Belmont with 18 points. Steve Drabyn had 17 and Collins added 15.
