Foster parent charged with molesting four boys left in his care

LAWRENCEVILLE - A 32-year-old Lawrenceville man was being held without bond Wednesday, accused of molesting four boys left in his care. <br> <br> Erik A. Cooper, a foster parent, threatened to leave Georgia with the children, Gwinnett County police said in the arrest warrant. <br> <br> Authorities said Cooper was charged last week with five counts of child molestation involving three brothers and a fourth boy. The children were between 7 and 12, Assistant District Attorney Jim Miskell said. <br> <br> Cooper was accused of fondling the boys on several occasions from October 2001 to May 2002, according to arrest warrants. <br> <br> His attorneys could not be reached Wednesday for comment. <br> <br> Gwinnett County Department of Family and Children Services has said Cooper cannot be a foster parent in Georgia because of rules violations.
