Wind chill advisory in effect through Friday morning

PEACHTREE CITY - The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for the northern third of Georgia that will continue through Friday morning. <br>

The Weather Service says temperatures in the teens to lower 20s -- combined with winds of 20 to 30 miles an hour -- will bring the wind chill factor into the single digits Thursday afternoon. <br>

Wind chill factors are expected to fall below zero degrees Thursday night when the Weather Service says tempertures will plunge to the single digits and the winds will be ten to 15 miles per hour. <br>
<br>
The Weather Service issues a wind chill advisory when strong winds combine with cold temperatures to create dangerously cold conditions for exposed skin. <br>
<br>
Forecasters advise those going outside to dress warmly and make sure exposed skin is covered.
