The results were worse than Wall Street expectations.
Revenue for Atlanta-based EarthLink was $347 million, compared to $327.2 million in the same three-month period a year ago.
The poor earnings news comes amid significant job cuts at EarthLink.
Tuesday, EarthLink said it will trim 1,300 jobs from its work force of 5,100 to consolidate office space and deal with increasing competition. The cuts are focused on the company's call center facilities in Dallas; Sacramento, California; and Seattle.
