MOULTRIE - Two teen-agers died within three days after losing control of their vehicles on the same curve.
Chase Palmer, 16, died Tuesday after his sport utility vehicle flipped at least twice on Millpond Road.
The 10th grader at Colquitt County High School and a cousin, Will Blackburn, were headed to school. Traveling too fast for conditions was listed as the contributing factor on the accident report. Blackburn was treated and released from Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
On Saturday, Amanda Morris, 19, was killed on the same curve when she lost control, struck a tree and a culvert, Georgia State patrol reports said.
David Hurst, assistant superintendent of roads in Colquitt County, said Wednesday that something might be done to make the road safer. Currently, there are yellow signs warning of a curve ahead with a 45 mph speed limit.
