ATLANTA - Atlanta Police are dropping charges against five youths in a police shooting case that left another teenager dead.
The incident is still being investigated by the district attorney's office, which could bring charges later.
Atlanta police officer Raymond Bunn shot and killed 18-year-old Corey Ward in the Buckhead section of Atlanta in mid-July. Bunn had said he had ordered Ward to stop the Chevy Tahoe he was driving.
But police said Ward continued driving and hit the officer, who then shot the teenager.
Four teenagers with Ward were charged with obstruction of an officer and breaking into a vehicle. Charges against a fifth person, a minor who was also riding with Ward, have also been dismissed.
