CARROLLTON - Patrick Prince ran 22 yards for the go-ahead touchdown as West Georgia overcame seven fumbles to beat Presbyterian 37-35 Saturday night in the season opener for both teams. <br>

The winning score came 74 seconds after the Blue Hose took a 35-30 lead when Nick Harris threw a 23-yard TD pass to Barrett Fleming. Both teams lost four fumbles, and Harris was 8-of-32 with three interceptions. <br>

But the Braves weren't much better, gaining only 45 yards on the ground, and Prince totaled 22 yards on his other 17 carries. They also had 14 penalties for 137 yards. <br>

West Georgia quarterbacks Corry Strange and Lucas McMichen were a combined 19-of-41 for 198 yards and three touchdown passes.
