Judge says evidence sufficient to send crematory case to grand jury

NOBLE - A Walker County judge ruled Monday that there was sufficient evidence to send the case against Tri-State Crematory operator Ray Brent Marsh to a grand jury. <br> <br> The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Judge James Bodiford issued the ruling after a preliminary hearing but did not set a trial date. <br> <br> An affidavit in the suit had suggested Marsh kept a detailed log of where the bodies were buried on the property. <br> <br> Marsh was released from county jail August 26 on $159,000 bond and was charged with 334 counts of theft by deception for taking money for cremations he never performed. He also is charged with 64 counts of abuse of a body.
