GAINESVILLE - Riverside Military Academy has hired Colonel Taylor Emanuel to serve as the academy's new commandant of cadets.<br>

Col. Emanuel currently serves as commander of the Air Force ROTC Detachment at <br>
Charleston Southern College.<br>

A career officer with the U.S. Air Force for more than 21 years, Emanuel worked in navigator and special operations service. His service has included an assignment as executive officer of the largest Air Force ROTC detachment in the nation at the Citdel, where he taught, mentored, and counseled more than 700 ROTC cadets.
