Barr's records to be preserved at West Georgia

CARROLLTON - The State University of West Georgia announced Monday it will house documents and materials accumulated by Representative Bob Barr during his eight years in office. <br>

President Clinton's impeachment records will be included in the archives at the Irvine Sullivan Ingram Library. <br>
<br>
The library also will maintain papers Barr used in efforts to protect gun rights. <br>
<br>
The archive section of the Ingram Library also holds documents from former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Senator Herman Talmadge. <br>
<br>
Barr was defeated by John Linder in the Republican primary for Georgia's Seventh District.
