Injuries hit Georgia's next foe

By
NATCHITOCHES, LOUISIANA - Northwestern State will limp into its game Saturday with eighth-ranked Georgia.

The Demons have lost their leading receiver, Devon Lockett, for four-to-six weeks with a broken bone in his foot and Demons coach Scott Stoker may rest All-American defensive back Terrence McGee.

Stoker said Lockett, who led Northwestern (3-0) with 102 yards on three receptions last week in a 34-14 win at Delaware State, hurt his right foot late in that game. McGee, who had two interceptions in the contest, picked up a pair of bruised thighs and may not dress Saturday for the Demons, ranked tenth in Division 1-AA.

Stoker said, ``We may decide it's best to let Terrence sit this one out, especially with an open date next week. We don't want to go without him, but if you rank the importance of games, I want him on the field Oct. 10 when we kick off the conference season.''
