Morehouse (3-2, 2-1 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) stretched the lead to 24-17 with 8:38 remaining on a 37-yard field goal by Byron Archibald that capped a 12-play, 50-yard drive. <br>

Adam Lamb, who hit on 11 of 21 passes for 195 yards, passed for two first-half touchdowns to Kenneth Rodgers for Morehouse 11 yards just over a minute into the game and 31 yards 3:21 before halftime. <br>

Maurice Hill, who passed for 182 yards for the Maryland team, hit Darne Jeffries on a 12-yard scoring pass in the first quarter and Mehmet Hazar kicked a 27-yard field goal early in the second to give Bowie a 10-7 lead. <br>

Bowie State's other touchdown came on a 5-yard run by Julius Jordan in the third quarter.
