CLEVELAND, TENNESSEE - Everyone on board a bus that collided with two other vehicles near Cleveland, Tennessee, escaped with only minor injuries Wednesday.
The bus was on the way to Bradley Central High School -- near the Georgia line -- when it collided with the vehicles, rolled over and burned.
Highway Patrol Lieutenant Lonny Ashford says the van driver is reported in serious condition at a hospital in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Ashford says the bus, the van and a compact car were westbound on U.S. 64 when the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m.
Troopers say the van pulled out to pass the bus on the four-lane divided highway. The car was behind the van and ran into the median, then came back onto the highway underneath the bus.
There were about 45 students aboard. The students and the driver were safely out before the bus caught fire and was consumed.
