ATLANTA - An Hispanic political organization, aimed at luring Latinos into the Republican Party, says it has made inroads in 51 counties in Georgia, including Hall and Whitfield - two counties with large Latino populations. <br>

"Amigos De Bush," or "Friends of Bush," spent two years in a campaign to register Hispanic voters across the state. <br>

Sora Chavez McFarlane, who oversees Hispanic outreach efforts for the state Republican Party, says Amigos De Bush also is trying to educate people about the political process and identify future Hispanic candidates and leaders. Amigos De Bush was founded by Atlanta Hispanics.<br>

Hall and Whitfield counties - the Gainesville and Dalton areas - have two of the fastest-growing Latino populations in the state.
