Teacher gets six years in prison for child molstestation

CARTERSVILLE - A former middle school teacher has pleaded guilty to child molestation charges and was sentenced to six years in prison and 24 years on probation. <br>

Donald Morris Lovell Jr., who taught at Woodland Middle School, was indicted by a Bartow County grand jury April 25 on 22 counts of aggravated child molistation, child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes. <br>
<br>
Lovell, 31, who pleaded guilty Thursday, will have his teaching license suspended, have to register as a sex offender, pay for any counseling and medication needed and will be banished from Bartow County. <br>
<br>
As part of the plea, one count of aggravated child molestation was reduced to child molestation. <br>
<br>
The charges involved five boys Lovell knew during his time at the school.
