ROME - A former metro editor from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has been named editor of the Rome News-Tribune. <br>

Forty-seven-year-old John Druckenmiller also worked at The Times in Gainesville and the Fulton County Daily Report. <br>

In a statement, Druckenmiller said he would emphasize local news in his new job. <br>
<br>
He said, ``We will hit the northwest Georgia angle hard.'' <br>
<br>
Druckenmiller is a graduate of the University of Florida.
