Second defendant arraigned in alleged attack of player

IONIA, MICHIGAN - The second of two men accused of a making a racially motivated attack against rookie Atlanta Falcons running back T.J. Duckett has turned himself in to authorities. <br>

Harold Jason Bodman, a 23-year-old man from Ionia, Michigan was arraigned Thursday in Ionia District Court. The Grand Rapids Press reported today that a judge set his bond at a $100,000 and that Bodman was taken to the county jail. <br>

Bodman is charged with one count each of ethnic intimidation and assault with a dangerous weapon, both felonies. <br>
<br>
He is accused of using a bottle to strike Duckett, a former Michigan State University player, after a concert by rapper Nelly at the Greater Ionia Fair on July 23. <br>
<br>
Duckett, who is black, told investigators that at least two white men grabbed and hit him, yelled racial slurs and tried to throw him off a footbridge that crosses the Grand River near the fairgrounds. <br>
<br>
Sheriff's deputies say Duckett lost a tooth and suffered a cut that required stitches. <br>
<br>
The other defendant, 21-year-old Robert James Pung of Saranac, Michigan, was arraigned Tuesday on one count each of ethnic intimidation and misdemeanor assault and battery. His bond was set at $250,000 and he was taken to the jail. <br>
<br>
A woman at the jail refused to say Friday whether Pung was still being held.
