ATLANTA - Marco Paddy, a former minor league catcher for the Atlanta Braves before becoming area scouting supervisor, was named assistant director of player development by the team Tuesday. <br>

Also, Tyrone Brooks was named an assistant in the player personnel department. <br>

Paddy joined the Braves in 1988 as a catcher their minor league system. Brooks, who joined Atlanta as a baseball operations assistant in 1996, has been an area supervisor in the Midwest for the past three years.
