ATLANTA - Robert M. Franklin, president of the Interdenominational Theological Center, has been appointed a visiting professorship at Harvard Divinity School. <br>

Franklin, a nationally recognized religion scholar, will teach African-American moral thought and history of the black church at Harvard for the spring semester beginning in January. Franklin earned a master of divinity degree from Harvard in 1978. <br>

Franklin has served as president of ITC in the Atlanta University Center since 1997. After five years at ITC, he submitted his resignation in order to engage in research and return to teaching. <br>

He is the author of two books and provides commentary for National Public Radio.
