DIAL - State officials said Tuesday that a fire at a small Baptist church on a dirt road in Fannin County appears to have been arson.
Tilley Baptist Church was vandalized and set ablaze sometime between Sunday services and Tuesday when the damage was discovered and reported to police.
John Oxendine, state insurance commissioner, says "this one looks extremely suspicious."
Tilley was the third church in Georgia to catch fire since Sunday. St. Luke's Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Lilly burned down Monday morning, and First Congregational Holiness Church in Walton County suffered a small electrical blaze the day before.
