ATLANTA - Workers at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport are getting ready for a busy travel day as the Fourth of July holiday begins. <br>

Delta Air Lines expects 300,000 people to be flying Wednesday, with AirTran expecting 35,000 people. <br>

AAA Auto Club South estimates that 972,000 Georgia motorists will travel at least 50 miles during the holiday weekend. <br>
<br>
The Department of Motor Vehicle Safety begins counting fatalities at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Officials predict 21 people will die on Georgia roads before the holiday ends at midnight Sunday. <br>
<br>
The patrol is predicting a total of 2,999 accidents. <br>
<br>
Last year there were 1,183 accidents, with four fatalities. <br>
<br>
Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright says every available trooper will patrol Wednesday and Sunday, generally the two heaviest travel days during the weekend.
