Woman arrested after leaving five children alone in car

MABLETON - An Atlanta woman was arrested Tuesday after she left her five children alone in a van while she went shopping, Cobb County police said. <br> <br> The children ranged in age from 6 months to 4 years, according to authorities. <br> <br> Marie Rosas, 38, was in a Food Depot in Mableton when a passer-by noticed one of the children getting out of the van, Cobb police spokesman Dana Pierce said. <br> <br> The woman who saw the child flagged down a police officer, who said he waited 20 minutes for the mother to return to the vehicle. The temperature was in the 80s, Pierce said. <br> <br> None of the children was hurt. Rosas was taken to the Cobb jail on five counts of deprivation of a minor.
