Carrot cake recalled for undeclared whey

ATLANTA - Mrs. Smith&#39;s Bakeries in Suwanee is voluntarily recalling 3.5-ounce packages of Mrs. Freshley&#39;s, BlueBird, Aunt Hannah and Blue Ribbon carrot cake because they may contain undeclared whey, the Georgia commissioner of agriculture said Friday. <br> <br> Some people are allergic to whey, a dairy product, and consuming the products could lead to an allergic reaction. <br> <br> Commissioner Tommy Irvin said the recalled cakes were in clear plastic packages marked with ``best if used by&#39;&#39; Aug. 4. They were distributed nationwide in retail stores and through vending machines. <br> <br> Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-877-291-2235.
