GAINESVILLE - Hall County Government launched the redesigned version of its Internet site Friday.
Web browsers can search the site for real-time listings of job openings, road closings, bid requests and more. A newly developed on-line forms library offers printer-friendly portable-document-format (PDF) files that can be downloaded using free Adobe software. On-line documents include employment applications, bid applications, juror information forms and citizens' reports.
The new site features maps, photos and features of county parks, departments, agencies, public transportation and area attractions. Several one-click links, along with a comprehensive list of frequently requested phone numbers, provide access to information about services, activities and business opportunities available in Hall County. Users can also find access to Hall County codes and ordinances, meeting agendas and highlights, elected and appointed officials and community resources.
Hall County Public Information Office staff, directed by Assistant Administrator Phil Sutton, worked with designers and programmers at Red Clay Interactive in the comprehensive site redesign. The six-month, $20,000 project was authorized in December by the Board of Commissioners.
