Police arrest two juveniles in shooting of passengers

NORCROSS - Gwinnett County police have arrested two juveniles in connection with a shooting that left two people in a car injured. <br> <br> The two -- whose names have not been released -- face charges of aggravated assault. <br> <br> Police say the shooting about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday near Norcross when the car with five people inside stopped and someone inside asked a group of young men to move out of the roadway. <br> <br> The men refused and someone in the group fired a bullet. Police say 20-year-old Esmeralda Sanchez and her four-year-old daughter, Ilene Pineda, were struck by the bullet. <br> <br> The child was taken to a hospital, treated and released; the mother remains hospitalized in fair condition. <br> <br> Police say the wounds are not considered life-threatening. <br> <br> The investigation is continuing.
