ATHENS - Two more high school football recruits have failed to qualify academically at the University of Georgia and will not be eligible to play for the Bulldogs this season.
Martrez Milner of West Hall High and Leonard Pope of Americus High did not meet academic requirements. It's unclear whether they could be admitted as partial qualifiers, meaning they could practice as freshmen but not play in games.
Milner was projected to play tight end or defensive end, and Pope was rated among the nation's top tight ends.
The Bulldogs found out last week that recruit Reshard Dudley, a running back from Marianna, Florida, also had failed to reach minimum NCAA academic requirements.
To replace Dudley, Georgia added running back Cedric Haywood from Central Fellowship Christian Academy in Macon. Haywood was given the scholarship Sunday and will enroll in the fall.
Haywood, who rushed for 1,579 yards and 22 touchdowns in nine games last season, is expected to be a receiver at Georgia, a position he played for two seasons at Northside High Warner Robins.
